Cello Lessons
‘Scott is very patient and enthusiastic, two characteristics that make him a great cello teacher. He loves to share the joy that he finds in music. Even when our daughter is tired and grumpy from a day of school, she is transformed into a smiling and happy person after her lesson. ‘

Teenagers are at a powerful stage of personal and artistic development. Cello study during this time can be a grounding, expressive outlet that builds confidence, discipline, and creativity.
I work with teen students to build strong technique while encouraging artistic voice and musical independence. Whether preparing for auditions, expanding musical horizons, or simply exploring cello as a passion, my lessons provide structured, empathetic support tailored to the student’s goals.

Supportive, personalized instruction—at any stage of life
Many of my adult students come to the cello with a long-standing desire to play, while others return after time away from music. Wherever you are in your musical journey, I offer cello lessons designed to meet you where you are—with structure, compassion, and a deep understanding of what it means to learn as an adult.
I know this journey personally. After stepping away from cello during college to compete as a swimmer at the University of Florida, I returned to the instrument as an adult with renewed commitment. Over the course of eleven dedicated years, I earned acceptance into the Master’s program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. That experience continues to shape the way I work with adult students today.
Lessons are tailored to fit your goals, schedule, and learning style. Whether you're starting from scratch, rediscovering your sound, or looking to deepen your practice, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you can grow confidently and joyfully.
It’s never too late to begin—or begin again.
